Elements You Should Include In A Built In Wardrobe Design
For some people, coming up with a built in wardrobe design can actually be quite simple because they know exactly what they require. For others, it can be a complete nightmare because they have no idea where to start. If you fall into the latter category, we have put together this list of elements that you will need to include for your own design to be successful.
- Clothes Organisation
The whole purpose of the wardrobe is to store your clothes, so make sure that you have plenty of clever solutions. A rod is a must, as it provides you with a place to hang those dress and long clothes. Shelves are also great, as they provide you with room to store folded items. Drawers are useful for hiding your underwear and lingerie away from view, just in case someone was to open the door.
- Accessory Organisation
Don't forget that you can also use your wardrobe to store other items that you regularly wear. Pull out shelves can be a great way to keep your shoes out of the way, with the lesser worn ones at the back. Hooks can be added to the doors for hats and purses. A tie rack can be a great addition for the man in your life. A jewellery box could also be a nice touch, as it puts all of your pieces within easy reach.
- Additional Organisation
Lighting could be vital for your wardrobe, especially if it is quite large and blocks must of the light from the room. You should also hang either a small or a full length mirror on one of the doors so that you can check out your appearance. Some people even like to include a small vanity to hold make up and hair accessories for easy access. A foot stool to sit on or stand on could also be good.
Whilst you should only include those elements that will be used, it is important to consider each of them equally when putting together your wardrobe design. You may not have considered that a vanity could be useful, but after consideration have realised that it would actually save you time. And do not forget to consult with your significant other on the design, either.
